Grade 420 Stainless Steel Coils are high-carbon steel with only 12% chromium offers excellent corrosion resistance when the coils are polished. Like other stainless steel products, these UNS S42000 SS Coils are hardened through the heat treatment process. Apart from this, these coils can easily be welded using welding rods and achieve ductile joints.
420 belongs to the martensitic stainless steel series with 12-18% crom and a high C value. Basically, 420 is similar in structure to 410, but it has more carbon to enhance the hardness and toughness of the material. 420 steel is a kind of high hardness stainless steel.
420j2 can also be machined for different properties such as hardness, gloss and heat resistance. However, 420 is not suitable for use in high temperature or humid environments, as it is easily corroded.
420 Good wear resistance, high hardness, good wear resistance. It is commonly used in high wear resistance applications such as surgical instruments, dental instruments, knives, etc., where corrosion resistance is also important.
